Owl City ist ein amerikanisches Indie-/Synth-Pop-Musikprojekt, das von Adam Young 2007 gegründet wurde. Zunächst als unabhängiger Künstler tätig, veröffentlichte er zwei Alben, bevor er bei Republic Records unterschrieb. Der Durchbruch gelang 2009 mit dem Debütalbum *Ocean Eyes*, das dank des Singles *Fireflies* international erfolgreich war.
