Die Red Hot Chili Peppers sind eine amerikanische Rockband, die 1982 in Los Angeles gegründet wurde. Die Band ist bekannt für ihren Sound, der Funk, Punkrock und Hardrock mit psychedelischen und lateinamerikanischen Einflüssen vermischt. Die ursprüngliche Besetzung bestand aus Anthony Kiedis (Gesang), Flea (Bass), Hillel Slovak (Gitarre) und Jack Irons (Schlagzeug).
