Inti-Illimani è un ensemble musicale latinoamericano di musica folk, formatosi in Cile nel 1967 da un gruppo di studenti universitari. La band ha acquisito grande popolarità in patria per la canzone «Venceremos», che divenne l'inno del governo della Unità Popolare di Salvador Allende. Al momento del colpo di stato cileno del 11 settembre 1973, Inti-Illimani si trovava in tour in Europa e non è potuto tornare in Cile, dove la loro musica era stata proibita dalla giunta militare al potere. In Europa, la musica del gruppo ha assunto un carattere più variegato, incorporando elementi di barocco europeo e altre forme musicali tradizionali ai suoi ricchi e colorati ritmi latinoamericani, creando una distintiva fusione di musica mondiale moderna. Inti-Illimani è forse il membro più conosciuto a livello internazionale del movimento della *nueva canción*. Il nome significa 'Sole dell'Illimani' in lingua aimara; l'Illimani è un monte nell'Ande boliviano. Tra i brani rappresentativi: «Venceremos», «El pueblo unido jamás será vencido», «La flor de la vida».
