Jefferson Airplane è un gruppo rock statunitense formatosi a San Francisco nel 1965. Considerati uno dei pilastri del movimento psichedelico degli anni '60, hanno contribuito in modo significativo alla musica e al clima culturale della Summer of Love. Il loro album più famoso, *Surrealistic Pillow* (1967), contiene il singolo di successo «Somebody to Love», che li ha lanciati sulla scena nazionale.
