Bob Seger, pseudonimo di Robert Clark Seger (Detroit, 6 maggio 1945), è un cantautore e musicista rock statunitense. Cresciuto a Dearborn, in Michigan, iniziò la sua carriera musicale negli anni '60 suonando con diverse band locali come The Decibels, The Town Criers e Doug Brown and the Omens. Nel 1965 inciso il suo primo singolo con gli Omens. Dopo aver raggiunto una certa popolarità a Detroit, città nota per la sua scena musicale vibrante, Seger firmò un contratto discografico e pubblicò il suo album di debutto nel 1968.
