The Dear Hunter è un progetto musicale full-time di Casey Crescenzo, ex membro della band post-hardcore The Receiving End of Sirens. Il sound del gruppo non è dissimile da quello della precedente formazione di Crescenzo, ma con tendenze più alternative e progressive rock, oltre a una varietà più ampia di strumenti musicali.
