Demis Roussos (Artemios Ventouris-Roussos; Alexandria, Ägypten, 15. Juni 1946 – Athen, 25. Januar 2015) war ein griechischer Sänger und Bassist. Als Sohn griechischer Eltern, die nach Ägypten emigrierten, begann Demis seine musikalische Karriere in den 1960er Jahren als Mitglied der Gruppe Aphrodite's Child. Mit dem Konzeptalbum *It's Five O'Clock* erlangte er internationalen Erfolg. Nach der Auflösung der Band im Jahr 1972 startete Roussos eine erfolgreiche Solokarriere und erreichte weltweite Bekanntheit mit Songs wie *My Sweet Lord*, *Forever and Ever* und *Goodbye My Love*. Seine warme, melodische Stimme, kombiniert mit romantischen Texten und orchestralen Arrangements, machte ihn zu einem der beliebtesten Künstler seiner Zeit.
