Alkaline Trio è una band punk rock americana formatasi a McHenry, nell'Illinois, nel 1996. I membri fondatori erano Matt Skiba (voce, chitarra), Dan Andriano (basso, cori) e Derek Grant (batteria). Inizialmente i tre si guadagnavano da vivere come ciclisti postini, ma presto decisero di dedicarsi completamente alla musica, intraprendendo tour nazionali ed internazionali.
