Many times when the lights go down
i keep hiding from you, someone
gotta run i try to find my place that's here
(i gotta figure out)
a little more so i can stay
feeding from the fire that you left inside
and i've had my fears
you're about to say
when everything turns grey
and outside it's another day for me and you
about a we can only lose
i try and find a way
that i can make some change
i'll make a change with something anywhere
the ice it melts right through my hands
and i'm freezing though my fingers
trying to feel i'm going home and i'm slowing
down
(i gotta figure out)
a little more so i can stay
what it is and what it should be that we go on
and i've had my fears
you're about to say
when everything turns grey
and outside it's another day for me and you
about a we can only lose
i try and find a way
that i can make some change
i'll make a change with something anywhere
you know shallow son
and i think of you
from far away
when no more problems aside
stop and think of you
i hope you'll think of me
now that we've hammered that last fight
we punch through with one that says
what it was it took a lifetime to give
you don't talk with whispers anymore
crumble fears far from the source
and i know it's not the end of the world
end of the world
of course
when everything turns grey
and outside it's another day for me and you
about a we can only lose
i try and find a way
that i can make some change
i'll make a change with something anywhere
Pulley is a Southern Californian punk rock band that made its debut in 1996. The band is known for straight-forward, hard-edged melodic punk rock. Pulley was formed upon vocalist Scott Radinsky's departure from Ten Foot Pole, brought about by that band's desire for a singer with a full-time focus on music (Radinsky was also a major-league relief pitcher and has played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, among others). Pulley's initial lineup included drummer Jordan Burns (Strung Out) guitarist Jim Cherry (also formerly of Strung Out and Zero Down) guitarist Mike Harder, and former Face to Face bassist Matt Riddle. Pulley's debut, Esteem Driven Engine, was released in 1996 by Epitaph; Riddle joined No Use for a Name full-time afterwards and was replaced by Tyler Rebbe. Follow-ups included 60 Cycle Hum in 1997, @#!* in 1999, Together Again for the First Time in 2001, and Matters in 2004. On July 30 2008, Pulley announced a follow up EP to Matters entitled Time-Insensitive Material which was released on March 24, 2009 on the band's own label, X-Members.
