Behemoth ist eine polnische Blackened Death Metal Band aus Gdansk, gegründet 1991. Sie gelten als einer der Eckpfeiler des polnischen extremen Metal-Undergrounds neben Bands wie Vader, Decapitated, Vesania und Hate und haben maßgeblich zur Verbreitung des Genres in Polen und darüber hinaus beigetragen.
