Leonard Norman Eliezer Cohen (Montreal, 21. September 1934 – Los Angeles, 7. November 2016) war ein kanadischer Singer-Songwriter, Dichter, Schriftsteller und Komponist jüdischer Herkunft. Als einer der einflussreichsten Songwriter des 20. Jahrhunderts erlangte Cohen internationale Bekanntheit für seinen musikalischen Stil, der melancholische Melodien und poetische Texte mit sich brachte, die Themen wie Religion, Liebe, Verlust und Spiritualität erforschten.
