Lynyrd Skynyrd è una leggendaria band americana di Southern Rock formatasi a Jacksonville, in Florida, nel 1964. Il gruppo ha raggiunto il successo internazionale negli anni '70 con un sound caratterizzato da riff bluesy, testi evocativi del Sud degli Stati Uniti e virtuosismi chitarristici. I Lynyrd Skynyrd sono noti per brani iconici come "Sweet Home Alabama", "Free Bird" e "Simple Man". La band ha subito una tragedia nel 1977 con l'incidente aereo che ha portato alla morte di tre membri fondatori, tra cui il chitarrista Allen Collins.
