Carpathian Forest è una band norvegese di black metal formatasi nel 1990 da Nattefrost e Nordavind. Considerati uno dei gruppi pionieri del genere, hanno contribuito a definire l'estetica e la sonorità del black metal norvegese degli anni '90. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da un ritmo veloce e aggressivo, riff di chitarra distorti e testi oscuri e satanici.
