The Crown è una band svedese di death/thrash metal proveniente da Trollhättan. Originariamente si chiamavano Crown of Thorns, ma furono costretti a cambiare nome a causa di un'altra band che già utilizzava lo stesso nome. La loro musica e i loro testi sono ispirati alla morte, a temi antireligiosi (in gran parte rivolti al cristianesimo) e alla ribellione. Sono noti per fondere death metal con influenze thrash. La band si è sciolta nel 2004. Dopo di che, Lindstrand ha formato One Man Army and the Undead Quartet. Tervonen ha formato Angel Blake, dal nome di una canzone dei Danzig. Ora si concentra sul suo nuovo progetto Lady Mourning. Sunesson è in una band chiamata Engel. Olsfelt è anche in una band chiamata Stolen Policecar. La band è stata ricostituita nel dicembre 2009 con Jonas Stalhammar di God Macabre come nuovo vocalist.
