Forming in 1984, Ween self-released several experimental-rock albums on cassette before eventually signing to Twin/Tone Records in 1989. A burgeoning cult fan-base saw them signing to Elektra, and 1992's Pure Guava brought them to wider attention. Chocolate and Cheese (1994) was another big hit with critics.
