Entombed è una band svedese di death metal formatasi nel 1987 con il nome Nihilist. Considerati pionieri del death metal scandinavo, negli anni '90 hanno ampliato il loro sound includendo influenze hardcore punk e altre sonorità, dando vita a uno stile definito come death 'n' roll. Tra le band che li hanno ispirati figurano Autopsy, Slayer, Kiss, The Misfits, Motorhead e Discharge. Entombed ha pubblicato numerosi album di successo, tra cui "Left Hand Path" (1990), considerato un classico del genere, e "Wolverine Blues" (1997), che ha ulteriormente consolidato il loro status di band influente.
