Legion of the Damned ist eine niederländische Thrash/Death-Metal-Band, die 2004 aus den Überresten der Gruppe Occult hervorging, nachdem Sängerin Rachel Heyzer ausgestiegen war. Ihre Lieder erforschen Horror-Themen, Okkultismus, Religion und Apokalypse. Sie nahmen die Alben *Malevolent Rapture* und *Sons of the Jackal* im Stage One Studio mit dem Produzenten Andy Classen auf. Ein besonderes Tribut an ihre niederländische Herkunft ist in der Sonderedition des Albums *Cult of the Dead* enthalten, das einen mit dem Bandlogo versehenen Käseblock enthält – ein einzigartiges Element im Metal-Merchandising (und möglicherweise in allen Musikgenres).
