Trail of Tears è una band norvegese di black metal gotico/sinfonico formatasi nel 1994 con il nome Natt. Durante gran parte della loro carriera, la band ha enfatizzato l'uso di voci contrastanti soprano e death grunt, ma con l'uscita di *Free Fall into Fear* nel 2005, è passata a un contrasto principalmente tra voci tenore e growl death, con passaggi soprano meno frequenti.
