English musician and producer Alan Parsons enjoyed a brief solo career, and fronted a group called the Alan Parsons Project. It was also hugely critically acclaimed and is widely regarded as one of the greatest rock albums ever. He also worked in the studio, in a similar role as a producer, for albums by The Beatles, Paul McCartney, The Hollies and Al Stewart.
