Armin van Buuren, nato Armin Jozef Jacobus Daniël van Buuren il 25 ottobre 1976 ad Leiden, Paesi Bassi, è uno dei DJ più influenti e riconosciuti a livello mondiale. Inizia la sua carriera musicale all'età di 14 anni, appassionandosi al genere trance. Nel corso degli anni '90 si afferma come talentuoso produttore e DJ, collaborando con artisti come Ferry Corsten e Tiësto. Nel 2000 pubblica il suo album di debutto, "Shivers", che lo consacra come uno dei pilastri del movimento trance europeo.
