The Specials, anche conosciuti come The Special AKA, sono un gruppo musicale britannico formatosi a Coventry nel 1977. Considerati uno dei massimi esponenti del movimento 2 Tone ska britannico della fine degli anni settanta, insieme a gruppi come Madness, The Selecter e The Beat, hanno saputo coniugare il ritmo energico dello ska con testi politici e sociali che riflettevano le tensioni e le disuguaglianze dell'epoca. Il loro sound, caratterizzato da un mix di ska, rocksteady e punk, ha influenzato generazioni di musicisti e continua ad essere apprezzato per la sua energia contagiosa e il suo messaggio di speranza e cambiamento.
