Alphaville ist eine deutsche Synth-Pop-Band, die 1983 von Marian Gold (Gesang), Bernhard Lloyd (Keyboards) und Frank Mertens (Bass) gegründet wurde. Ihr internationaler Durchbruch gelang Mitte der 1980er Jahre mit Hits wie "Big in Japan" und "Forever Young", was sie zu einer der bekanntesten New-Wave-Bands machte. Alphaville hat über 20 Alben veröffentlicht und ist bis heute aktiv, tourt und arbeitet an neuen Projekten. 2006 erlebte die Band durch eine Coverversion von "Forever Young" des australischen Quartetts Youth Group für die Fernsehserie The O.C. ein erneutes Aufleben der Popularität.
