Built to Spill è un gruppo indie rock statunitense formatosi nel 1992 dal chitarrista Doug Martsch, dopo aver lasciato i Treepeople. Martsch inizialmente intendeva essere l'unico membro permanente del gruppo, introducendo nuovi musicisti per ogni album.
