The Jesus and Mary Chain sono una band scozzese di noise pop formatasi ad East Kilbride nel 1984. I membri fondatori sono i fratelli Jim e William Reid, originari della stessa città. La formazione iniziale includeva anche Bobby Gillespie alla batteria, che in seguito avrebbe fondato Primal Scream.
