Soft Cell è un duo britannico di synthpop noto per essere salito alla ribalta nei primi anni '80. Il gruppo è composto dal vocalist Marc Almond e da David Ball, responsabile dei sintetizzatori. La loro fama internazionale è dovuta al successo planetario del 1981 con una versione rielaborata della canzone "Tainted Love" di Gloria Jones.
