Copeland ist eine amerikanische Rockband, die 2001 in Lakeland, Florida, von Aaron Marsh (Gesang, Gitarre, Mellotron, Orgel und Klavier) und James Likeness (Bass und Backing Vocals) gegründet wurde. Der originale Sound der Band wird durch Bryan Laurenson (Gitarre) und Jonathan Bucklew (Schlagzeug) ergänzt, die nach dem ehemaligen Schlagzeuger Rusty in die Band eingetreten sind. 2002 unterschrieb Copeland bei The Militia Group und veröffentlichte 2003 sein Debütalbum *Beneath Medicine Tree*. 2005 erschien *In Motion*, produziert von Matt Goldman und Aaron Marsh, und gemischt von Ken Andrews. Das Album enthielt eine akustische EP mit lo-fi Versionen von Songs aus *In Motion* und *Beneath Medicine Tree*. Copeland spielte 2004, 2005 und 2006 beim Cornerstone Florida Festival.
