Quiet Riot ist eine amerikanische Heavy-Metal-Band, die 1975 in Los Angeles von Randy Rhoads (Gitarre) und Kelly Garni (Schlagzeug) gegründet wurde. Nach einer Phase der Besetzungswechsel erreichte die Band internationale Bekanntheit mit dem Album *Metal Health* aus dem Jahr 1983, das den Song *Cum On Feel the Noize* enthielt, eine Coverversion von Slade. Das Album wurde zum ersten Heavy-Metal-Album, das in den USA die Spitze der Billboard 200 Charts erreichte. Rhoads verließ die Band 1979, um sich den Black Sabbath anzuschließen, aber sein Einfluss auf den Sound von Quiet Riot ist bis heute spürbar. Die nachfolgende Besetzung veröffentlichte weiterhin erfolgreiche Alben bis in die 1990er Jahre, mit Songs wie *The Wild Boys* und *Mama Weer All Crazee Now*. Quiet Riot zählt zu den einflussreichsten Heavy-Metal-Bands der 1980er Jahre.
