Asia è un supergruppo formatosi nel 1981 da membri di gruppi leggendari come Yes, King Crimson, Emerson Lake and Palmer e Uriah Heep. Il nucleo originale comprendeva Geoff Downes (tastiere), John Wetton (basso, voce), Steve Howe (chitarra) e Carl Palmer (batteria). Nel corso degli anni la formazione ha subito diverse variazioni, con l'ingresso di altri musicisti di spicco. Sebbene non abbiano raggiunto lo stesso livello di fama critica dei gruppi da cui provenivano i membri, Asia vanta una base di fan fedele che apprezzano il loro stile musicale caratterizzato da un mix di AOR (Adult Oriented Rock) e progressivo.
