A Wilhelm Scream (AWS oder einfach Wilhelm oder der Scream) ist eine Melodic-Hardcore-Band aus New Bedford, Massachusetts. Man vergleicht sie oft mit Bands wie Strung Out, Hot Water Music, Propagandhi und Strike Anywhere. Der Bandname bezieht sich auf den "Wilhelm Scream", einen berühmten Soundeffekt, der in vielen Filmen verwendet wird. Bevor die Band ihren aktuellen Namen annahm, war sie unter den Namen Smackin' Isaiah, Koen und Adam's Crack bekannt, wobei nur der erste Name in einer wichtigen Veröffentlichung verwendet wurde. Der Namenswechsel von Koen über Smackin' Isaiah zu A Wilhelm Scream war auf die Aufnahme neuer Mitglieder und die Reifung der Band zurückzuführen.
