English pop band Bananarama, originally comprised of Siobhan Fahey, Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward, would have the bulk of their international success from 1982 to 1989. They would release nine albums in total but it would be their debut album Deep Sea Skiving (1983) second album Bananarama (1984) and their third album True Confessions (1986) that would see the band's biggest hit singles, "Shy Boy", "Cruel Summer" and "Venus" and most significant commercial and critical success. Woodward and Dallin continue to perform and release albums together - most recently in 2005 with the release of their ninth studio album Drama. Fahey, who left the band after disagreements with their management in 1987, would go on to form the influential feminist pop-group Shakespeare's Sister.
