Herman Dune ist ein französisches Duo, das 1999 gegründet wurde. Ursprünglich ein Trio, besteht die aktuelle Formation aus David-Ivar Herman Dune (Gitarren und Gesang) und Neman Herman Dune (Schlagzeug und gelegentlich Backing Vocals). Neman, der aus der Schweiz stammt, ersetzte den ehemaligen Schlagzeuger Ome Anfang 2001. Am 13. Dezember 2006 spielte Andre Herman Dune sein letztes Konzert mit der Band und änderte anschließend seinen Namen in Stanley Brinks. Mit dem Ausscheiden von Andre wurde das Umlaut aus dem Namen entfernt. Die Band wird bei Live-Auftritten oft von anderen Musikern unterstützt. Ihr Sound gehört zum Folk Rock und zeichnet sich durch eingängige Melodien und nachdenkliche Texte aus. Zu den bekanntesten Songs gehören «The Sun Is Shining», «I Don't Know What to Do» und «You Are My Love».
