Biografia

Lou Reed (Lewis Allan Reed; 2. März 1942 – 27. Oktober 2013) war ein amerikanischer Singer-Songwriter, Gitarrist und Dichter. Als Pionier des experimentellen Rocks und der Punkmusik erlangte Reed in den 1960er Jahren als Frontmann der Velvet Underground internationale Bekanntheit. Nach der Auflösung der Band startete er eine erfolgreiche Solokarriere und erkundete kontroverse Themen wie Heroin, Sexualität und soziale Marginalisierung. Zu seinen wichtigsten Alben gehören "Transformer" (1972), "Berlin" (1973) und "Street Hassle" (1978). Reed war ein provokativer und umstrittener Künstler, aber auch ein raffinierter Dichter und ein begabter Musiker. Einige seiner bekanntesten Songs sind: 'Walk on the Wild Side', 'Heroin', 'Perfect Day'.
