Steve Kilbey è un musicista britannico naturalizzato australiano, noto soprattutto come cantante e bassista del gruppo rock The Church. Nato a Londra nel 1955, si trasferì in Australia all'età di sette anni. Kilbey ha fondato The Church nel 1980 insieme a Peter Koppes e Marty Willson-Piper. Il gruppo ha raggiunto il successo internazionale negli anni '80 con album come *Of Skins and Heart* (1985) e *Starfish* (1988), caratterizzati da atmosfere psichedeliche e un sound rock progressivo.
