Ken Stringfellow è un musicista statunitense nato il 30 ottobre 1968. È noto soprattutto per il suo lavoro con i The Posies, i R.E.M. e la reunion dei Big Star. Stringfellow ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '80 con i The Posies, band indie rock di Seattle. Con loro ha pubblicato diversi album di successo, tra cui "Failure" (1990) e "Frosting on the Beater" (1996). Nel corso degli anni '90, Stringfellow ha collaborato con vari artisti, tra cui i R.E.M., per i quali ha suonato chitarra in alcuni album e tour. Ha anche partecipato alla reunion dei Big Star nel 2005, contribuendo a registrare l'album "Keep an Eye on the Sky". Oltre al suo lavoro con queste band, Stringfellow ha pubblicato diversi album da solista e ha collaborato con altri artisti indie rock. Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi si possono citare "Solar Sister" (The Posies), "Shiny Happy People" (R.E.M.) e "September Gurls" (Big Star).
