The story of miss clara thorne

Miss Clara Thorne was born in 1765 to a prosperous merchant family in colonial Boston. The ceremony was to take place at dusk in the village chapel.

That afternoon, a traveling mystic named Professor Rowan Fenn arrived unannounced. Before the gathered guests, he performed wonders no living man should know. One moment the chapel bells hung silent, the next they rang out in a haunting melody with no one pulling the ropes, while ethereal lights danced along the rafters, forming glowing runes that whispered forgotten truths to those who listened.

As the crowd gasped, Clara watched, transfixed. When Fenn's glowing orange eyes met hers, something ancient and unspoken passed between them. In that instant, the life she had been promised, felt like a cage.
