Sam Cooke (1931-1964) è stato un leggendario cantante, compositore e produttore discografico statunitense, considerato uno dei pionieri del soul music. Nato a Clarksdale, Mississippi, Cooke iniziò la sua carriera musicale cantando gospel nella chiesa locale.
