Culture Shock è stata una band anarcho-punk/ska punk formatasi a Warminster, Wiltshire, in Inghilterra nel 1986 da Dick Lucas, precedentemente dei Subhumans. Nel corso dei loro quattro anni di attività la band ha suonato centinaia di concerti, tra cui frequenti apparizioni a festival gratuiti, e ha pubblicato tre album in studio per l'etichetta Bluurg. I testi di Lucas si sono concentrati principalmente su questioni sociali e politiche, dalla crudeltà sugli animali all'Irlanda del Nord, alla guerra e all'alienazione sociale, ma erano tutt'altro che grida d'ira, trovando spesso una prospettiva positiva ed emancipatrice. Culture Shock si è sciolta alla fine del 1989, poiché Bill e Nige avevano entrambe famiglie giovani da sostenere.
