De-Phazz è un ensemble jazz downtempo che integra modern turntablism con elementi di soul, latino, trip hop e drum and bass in un sound lounge music. Il gruppo è guidato da Pit Baumgartner, un produttore tedesco che cambia la sua formazione per ogni nuovo album. Alcuni dei membri più permanenti sono Karl Frierson e Pat Appleton.
