Amon Amarth è una band di melodic death metal svedese proveniente da Tumba, fondata nel 1988. Il nome della band deriva da Amon Amarth, un'alternativa al nome del Monte Fato, la montagna vulcanica presente nell'universo immaginario di J.R.R. Tolkien, la Terra di Mezzo. Dal 2009 la band è sotto contratto con Metal Blade Records e ha pubblicato sette album in studio, un EP, un DVD e sette video musicali.
