Born from the remnants of JamisonParker which split in 2005, E for Explosion represents front man Jamison Covington's next step in his music career. Originally a solo project named "Dance With the Dead" and later "Covington," Jamison released a few demos under these names. Eventually, E for Explosion would be the name the band would take on, based off of the alliteration of Ray Bradbury books. In 2007, E for Explosion while on tour, began selling a self-produced EP "Paper Flowers" of which only 1000 were hand-made and sold. On May 20th, 2008, E for Explosion, released Reinventing the Heartbeat, their first full length album with Eyeball records. The album featured the single "I Explode" which was also made into a music video. On October 29th, 2010, E for Explosion announced a new EP which would be released November 23rd, 2010. The band is currently made up of Jamison Covington and Dai Britain.
