Dean Martin, nato Dino Paul Crocetti il 7 giugno 1917 a Steubenville, Ohio, è stato un cantante, attore e comico italo-americano. Figlio di immigrati italiani originari di Montesilvano, Abruzzo, Martin iniziò la sua carriera musicale nei locali di New York negli anni '40, assumendo il nome d'arte Dean Martin in onore del tenore Nino Martini. Nel 1946 formò un duo comico con Jerry Lewis, che divenne uno dei più popolari e longevi della storia dell'intrattenimento. Insieme realizzarono sedici film, tra cui "La mia amica Irma" (1949) e "Hollywood o morte!" (1956), e apparvero in programmi televisivi di grande successo come "The Colgate Comedy Hour".
