Orange Juice è stata una band post-punk scozzese formatasi a Bearsden, un sobborgo di Glasgow, nel 1976 con il nome di Nu-Sonics. Il gruppo fu fondato da Edwyn Collins e dal suo compagno di scuola Alan Duncan, successivamente uniti da James Kirk e Steven Daly, provenienti dalla band The Machetes. Nel 1979 la formazione cambiò nome in Orange Juice. La band è nota soprattutto per il successo "Rip It Up", che raggiunse l'8° posto nella classifica britannica nel febbraio 1983, unico singolo del gruppo ad entrare nella Top 40. Il loro sound, influenzato dal pop e dalla musica dance, ha contribuito a definire l'estetica indie scozzese degli anni '80.
