The Finnish goth-rock band HIM, formed in 1995 by vocalist Ville Valo, guitarist Mikko Lindstrom, and bassist Mikko Paananen. The name HIM is possibly derived from their original band name, His Infernal Majesty, although the band say this is untrue.
