The Pineapple Thief sono un gruppo musicale britannico di rock progressivo formatosi nel 1999 a Yeovil da Bruce Soord, dopo lo scioglimento dei Vulgar Unicorn. Il loro sound si caratterizza per atmosfere malinconiche e introspettive, con influenze provenienti dal post-rock, dall'art rock e dalla musica elettronica. Nel corso della loro carriera hanno pubblicato dieci album in studio, ottenendo un crescente successo internazionale. Soord è l'unico membro originale ancora presente nel gruppo, che ha visto negli anni diverse collaborazioni con musicisti di spicco come Gavin Harrison (King Crimson) e Jon Durant (The Tangent).
