The Darkness sono un gruppo hard rock britannico formatosi a Lowestoft nel 2000. Composti da Justin Hawkins (voce), Dan Hawkins (chitarra), Frankie Poullain (basso) e Rufus Taylor (batteria), la band ha raggiunto il successo internazionale con l'album di debutto *Permission to Land* (2003). L'album, sostenuto dai singoli "I Believe in a Thing Called Love", "Growing on Me", "Get Your Hands off My Woman" e "Love Is Only a Feeling", è stato certificato quadruplo platino nel Regno Unito. La band ha vinto tre Brit Awards nel 2004: Best British Group, Best British Rock Act e Best British Album.
