Third Eye Blind recorded its first demo in 1993 and after a successful gig opening for Oasis, competition to sign them was fierce. Their first album was Third Eye Blind (1997) which was a six times platinum certified success, partly as a result of the hit singles which included "Semi-Charmed Life", "Graduate" and "Losing a Whole Year".
