Ricky Lee Skaggs (nascosto il 18 luglio 1954) è un cantante, chitarrista e musicista bluegrass americano di fama mondiale. Nato a Cordell, Kentucky, Skaggs ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale all'età di sette anni, esibendosi in locali e programmi televisivi con suo padre. Nel corso degli anni '70, ha raggiunto il successo nazionale come membro del gruppo country-bluegrass Emmylou Harris and The Hot Band. Nel 1981, Skaggs ha lanciato la sua carriera solista, ottenendo numerosi successi nei generi bluegrass, country e gospel.
