The Color Fred è un gruppo musicale guidato da Fred Mascherino, ex chitarrista e cantante dei Taking Back Sunday. Il nome del gruppo è stato scelto tramite un sondaggio online, in cui "The Color Fred" è risultato il preferito dai fan. La band è stata fondata mentre Mascherino era nei Breaking Pangaea. The Color Fred è apparso su una compilation di Equal Vision Records nel 2005. Mascherino ha collaborato con Macbeth Athletics per progettare e produrre la scarpa F.P. Mascho, parte del progetto Studio Projects di Macbeth. La scarpa presenta i disegni di Jude Ianelli che compaiono anche sul sito web ufficiale di The Color Fred, insieme a alcune delle loro canzoni.
