Cowboy Mouth è una rock band originaria di New Orleans, Louisiana. Il nome del gruppo deriva dal titolo di un'opera teatrale co-scritta e interpretata da Sam Shepard e Patti Smith, sebbene l'espressione fosse stata utilizzata cinque anni prima dello spettacolo da Bob Dylan nella canzone "Sad Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands".
