Stan Ridgway, noto semplicemente come Stan, è un cantautore e polistrumentista statunitense nato nel 1950. È famoso per essere stato il frontman del gruppo new wave californiano Wall of Voodoo, attivo dal 1978 al 1984. Dopo la sua esperienza con i Wall of Voodoo, Ridgway ha intrapreso una carriera solista di successo, pubblicando album e collaborando con diversi artisti. Tra le sue collaborazioni più note figurano quelle con la moglie Pietra Wexstun, con cui ha prodotto tre album, e lo storico batterista dei Police Stewart Copeland, con cui ha scritto la colonna sonora del film Rusty il selvaggio (1983).
